After completing my studies in 1987, I joined the team at Hôpital vétérinaire Rive-Sud, now known as Centre vétérinaire Rive-Sud (CVRS). As the hospital grew, my responsibilities evolved, and I held several roles ranging from technician to coordinator. Throughout my career, I managed a team of more than 70 people and successfully met the challenges associated with human resources management. I have trained countless technicians and animal attendants, as well as several interns and veterinarians who joined the team or completed internships at the facility. During the relocation of CVRS in 1999, my strong organizational skills and initiative proved essential, and I was later called upon to assist with the organization of the new Centre vétérinaire Laval.

My skills as a trainer were recognized both in my workplace and on television. From 1994 to 2001, I worked as a consultant for the Radio-Canada show 4 ½. Since the characters on the show worked in a veterinary clinic, my attention to detail was essential to achieving realism. I was responsible for recruiting extras and training the actors in various veterinary care techniques.

In 2016, I completed a certificate in Human Resources Management at UQAM. Ready to take on new challenges, I joined the team at Hôpital vétérinaire St-Lambert that same year, where I have been working part-time ever since.

With my interpersonal skills and extensive expertise, I am proud to serve as a mentor to my colleagues. Within my new team, I have introduced practices that help maintain a positive work atmosphere and strengthen team spirit. Creative and versatile, I always look for new ways to improve the clinic’s efficiency.

Passionate about my profession, I also hold a part-time position with a mobile ultrasound service. I am known for my dedication and my genuine concern for patient comfort, as animal welfare is truly close to my heart.

I have been proud to represent the veterinary technician profession for more than 38 years. My boundless energy and generosity have left a lasting impression on everyone I have had the chance to work with throughout my career. In 2018, I was honored to receive the Veterinary Technician Award of Excellence from the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec.
