Amélie Francoeur Receptionist

I’m Amélie Francoeur, receptionist. I speak both French and English, although sometimes the transition between the two can be a bit bumpy depending on how tired I am.

I studied at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit and then at the University of Montreal in fields completely unrelated to the veterinary world, more specifically literature and criminology, which ironically have no apparent connection to each other.

That said, I’ve always loved animals and firmly believe they’re the best friends one can have when you understand how they communicate. That’s why I joined the veterinary field, and I’m proud to lend my help to a close-knit team.

Here are a few little things to know about me: I have two four-legged companions, in other words, a cat and a dog. Their names are Wall-E and Willow, although they also answer to Baby, Su-sucre, Little Sashimi, Little Emperor, and more. The last one is reserved for Wall-E, who likes to watch the world from up high, perched on top of the fridge, when he’s not staring at birds outside.

His main victim of judgment is Willow, a young Border Collie and a ball of energy, which is putting it mildly, since I constantly have to make him relax after hours of activity. Unlike many dogs of the same breed, mine doesn’t do agility tricks because he’s like me in that regard, physically clumsy.

Thank you for reading this far and not stopping at “receptionist” :D
